Camilo is generally a big ball of positive energy; he is almost always in a good mood, as even the smallest things can make him happy. He tries to maintain his jovial mood by looking at the bright side of everything. He often speaks his mind means everything he says, though sometimes he says too much of what's in his head. His loyalty is somewhat similar to that of a dog's; once he likes you, and it does' t take much to make him like you, he'll like you for good. Due to his upbringing by his mother, he developed a rather obedient nature and isn't one to rebel from authority, though his somewhat submissive nature has made him into somewhat of a push over. He takes commands seriously and works hard in everything he does, even if he isn't that good at it.

Camilo was born and raised in Spain by his Spanish mother and Geman father. Being the only child, he led a pretty sheltered life, going to private schools and being showered with affection from both parents. The Jaeger residence was conveniently located by the sea, because of his father's love of the ocean, and this exposed Camilo to swimming since a very young age. Spending a big portion of his life swimming in the sea, he quickly became an adept swimmer. Aside from this, Camilo spent the majority of his childhood with his mother due to his father's frequent business trips. He spends his extra time painting or gardening with his mother, and because of this, he grew up docile and obedient.


At the age of 10, Camilo spent a summer in Germany where he lived with his paternal grandmother. During his stay, his grandmother told him stories of how his (American) grandfather used to serve in the US Navy and how he saved countless of lives in exchange for his own. The touching story of his heroic grandfather attracted Camilo to the military profession, specifically the Navy. His dreams were quickly shot down by both of his parents as they didn't want their son putting his life in danger, instead they told him that he could just be a captain of a cruise ship if he really wants to spend his time in the ocean. Being the obedient child he was, Camilo dropped the idea of one day being clothed in medals like his grandfather.



During his high school years, Camilo had a few bullies who were always on his case. Teasing him about his choice of hair colour or about his lack of testosterone. Being the quiet guy he was, he remained silent and didn't bother fighting back since he didn't want his parents to be called in to school because of him getting into a fight. Camilo then caught the bullies bullying his friend, and in an attempt to help his comrade, he threw a shot at the bully. This led to a fight, which Camilo lost due to his lack of strength, and ultimately got Camilo's parents involved. Though he had managed to, somewhat, diverted the bully's attention and saved his friend, the lost made him aware of how weak he was. While he was staring off into the ocean, he caught sight of a ship and was reminded of the story of his valiant grandfather. This ignited his ambition to become stronger so that he would be able to protect the people around him and possible spend time in the open ocean. He thought about enlisting to the US Navy once he graduated high school, despite his parent's objections, however, the headmaster of his high school, having heard from his parents about his intentions, handed him a form to apply for Milizia. And thus Camilo joined Milizia's Navy Division.
